[Video] Common Brings Out Kanye West for Surprise Performance at AAHH Fest

Living up to all the hype, AAHH Fest 2014 served all that and more last night for hip hop fans. Not only did it have an awesome lineup, it also had some pretty big surprises as well. The event took place in Chicago's Union Park and it was presented by Common with Dave Chappelle as host. Kicking off the main stage, Chicago rapper Lil Herb turnt up the crowd with his opening performance followed by CZA and Jay Electronica. Legendary group De La Soul electrified the stage with their hip hop classics along with veteran rapper MC Lyte, who surprised the crowd by bringing out Lil Mama. Later in the evening, R&B songstress Jennifer Hudson took the stage and smoothed things out with a powerful vocal performance, singing songs from her past and upcoming album. Hometown rapper Lupe Fiasco turned back up the crowd with his display of genius, spitting rhymes hot like lava. [New Music] MC Lyte "Dear John" feat Common

After a long hiatus from making music, legendary rapper MC Lyte delivers new track with Chicago's own Common. The song is called "Dear John" and its set to appear on Lyte's Centric 'Being' special. "Dear John" is anthem for #EducateOURMen, which is the signature scholarship initiative of MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters Foundation, which has presented two $100,000 university scholarships during the Soul Train Music Awards Red Carper Pre-Show each year since the organization's founding. This year, the foundation will present dozens of scholarships earmarked to send men of color to HBCU's.  MC Lyte is also set to perform at this year's BET Hip Hop Awards, where she will perform "I Wanna Be Down" with Brandy, Yo-Yo, and Queen Latifah. They're finally coming out! Last night, Kanye West made a big announcement for the sneaker heads, who been impatiently waiting for his new Air Yeezy to drop. During his live show in Australia, Kanye announced that his new shoes with Adidas will be hitting the scene sometime this Fall in November.  "I feel good because we've been working hard. During their talk, Jeezy spoke on his first week projections for new album, the new hip hop generation and being a leader. Lil Bibby Covers Chicago's 'Red Eye' Newspaper

In support of his second installment of the Free Crack series, Chicago's rising star Lil Bibby covers The Red Eye. In the article, the Chicago rapper talks about his new mixtape, being on XXL Freshmen cover, and his neighborhood, which he speaks on the trouble that's surrounds the streets of Chicago.  "I don't know what to do about it. I just did a little back-to-school thing and gave away backpacks and supplies for the kids. I'm trying to think of a way to do more, but it's hard, man. People are one-track minded. All they want to do is stay in the same zone. There's no way out of it if you're gangbanging. It's either death, you're in [prison] or you grow up to be an old drunk or something. [Video] Kid Cudi Faints During Concert In Chicago

This past weekend, Kid Cudi gave his fans a scare during his set at the North Coast music festival in Chicago's Union Park. While performing, the rapper stopped for a moment to sign an autograph for a fan and just like that, he passed out. Luckily, security was on site to catch Cudi as he fell. Later, the former G.O.O.D. Music rapper took to Twitter to apologies for what may have caused him to faint. Watch Kid Cudi passing out in the video above and don't forget to check out his tweets after the jump.
