Gearing up for their annual concert series of the year, Chicago's #1 Hip Hop and R&B radio station WGCI just dropped their super dope lineup for this year's BIG JAM , starring Memphis own Glorilla.  Over the last couple of years, the CMG female rapper has taken the music industry by storm with songs like "FNF" and "Yeah Glo" and now, she's set to bring it all to Chicago for this year's BIG JAM .  The concert also stars Bossman D-Low, Tee Grizzley, NLE Choppa, No Cap, Chicago's G-Herbo and more. The event is set to take place at the Wintrust Arena on Dec. 7 and it's produced by BMN Ent.  Pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 14th at 10 am using code BIGJAM2024 and General Admission tickets will be available to the public on Friday, August 16th at 10 am. 

Emerging as one of Chicago's hottest young stars, female rapper Carla G is back on the scene and she's hitting the streets with a brand new banger. Today, the Chicago rapper drops the official video for her brand new single "Freak Heaux." It's produced by Jonny Yayo and it's shot and directed by Erickson Matree. Briahna Gatlin is famously known for owning and operating her own PR firm (Swank PR) for some of Chicago's top hip hop artists and now, this Westside kid is taking a shot at hosting her own events. This past weekend, Gatlin presented and curated her very own music festival Purple Block Party, to bring a sense of pride to her community and to her hometown Chicago. The Purple Block Party event took place on the City's Westside at the historically Garfield Park and it was filled with supporters and Chicago celebrities from throughout the city.  Throughout the event, Gatlin and her team made sure - people from all around - got the chance and opportunity to experience some of the City's best in food, music, art, culture, and so much more.   After taking a long hiatus, due to the pandemic, McDonald's returned to the City of Chicago with it's 45th All-American Basketball Games displaying some of the Nation's top high school talent. The round of events took place last night at Wintrust Arena, in the City's South Loop, and yes, it was packed with fans, food, live music, and a ton of excitement for families and kids to enjoy. Kicking off the night, fans witnessed the Ladies Basketball Teams take the floor, in a tough battle, as the Ladies of the East Team dominated the West led by Kira "Ki Ki" Rice, who took home Co-MVP. Ki Ki is a student who attends school in Washington D.C. and she plans to attend UCLA in the Fall. She also received the Morgan Wootten Player of the Year Award earlier this week. It seems like it was just yesterday, when the world was introduced to a 14-year-old kid named Nia Kay on Jermaine Dupri's "The Rap Game" and now, she's all grown-up and she's ready to win. Today, we just received a brand new video from the Chicago rapper and it's called "Go Best Friend," which is a turn-up record that will definitely keep you bouncing and popping bottles in the club.  "A best friend is just someone who is there for you, someone who knows you enough to be there for you when you're not there for yourself," said Nia Kay with Essence Magazine.  She also goes on to add in reference to a best friend "someone who's loyal to you, a ride or die." Getting back to the bag, Chicago rapper V.I The Boss delivers a brand new offering to kick off 2022. The video is called "I Need You" and it's directed by Prodadji Films. The movie takes place in ATL and it introduces us to Gigi (main character played by Keri Hilson).  Gigi is a single mother, who's been recently divorce, and she finds herself being stuck with bills and trying to make ends meet, which causes her to get involved with the wrong crowd to make money.  Last night, we got a chance to see the film first-hand at a red carpet movie screening in Chicago. Coming straight from the Westside of Chi, we got a new artist on the rise and he goes by the name of Weefo MG. He's been rapping since 2018 and he has dreams of making it like his idol Lil Wayne. Today, he drops his brand new visual "Million Dollar Dreams" and it's taken from his latest project called Golden Child , which can be streamed and downloaded on all digital platforms. Its shot and directed by Gerard Victor and it shows the Chicago artist and the Brooklyn rapper having fun at a house party, while being surrounded by a ton of girls. After a year in the making, Chicago rapper Baha Banks delivers a brand new project for all of her fans. The album is called Big Bank and it's packed with club bangers you can bop to. It contains 12 new tracks and it includes "Get It" featuring Pronto Spazzout and "Shake Dat Ass" featuring Chance The Rapper. It also includes Baha's latest new single and video "Birkin" featuring DCG Shun. It's directed by "Mr. Midnight" Paul John and its definitely one of those joints you should be watching. After a long tiresome year of being stuck at home, due to the pandemic, the City of Chicago is back open and you know what that means, some of your favorite Summer activities are back in town. That's right! It's true! Chicago is back open, and in celebration, the City is giving away 1,200 single-day passes to Lollapalooza (one of the largest Summer events that takes place in Grant Park).  This year, the four-day music festival will be held July 29th to August 1st and passes have been donated by the organizers for vaccinated Chicagoans and passes will also be distributed to those who make a special appointment at select City vaccination sites, according to press release on yesterday.
