When you think of people being honored in the music industry, most of the time we hear about people like singers, song writers, and producers, but not too much about the deejays (the ones who break the music). On last week (November 19), the Global Spin Awards paid respect to the deejays for their hard work and contribution and one of the winners just happened to be a Chicago favorite. His name is DJ Sean Mac and he's been named GSA's "2012 Midwest Club DJ of the Year."

On last night (November 10), Chi City was turned up! Rapper Dat Boy Hot  celebrated his birthday in style with the City's hottest movers and shakers. The event took place at Club Vintage (in the heart of downtown) and the house was packed!

On last night (November 1), the "King of Memphis" Yo Gotti stepped in the City of Chi for a one night club rocking performance! The event took place on the City's North Side and it was hosted by Connie from WGCI and DJ Pharris from Power 92.

On last night (October 18), some of the sexiest ladies in Chicago stepped out in their leggings, skirts, and heels to get up close and personal with one of R&B's biggest stars – Bobby V . This intimate jam session took place in the City’s West Loop at a local nightclub called Red Kiva. It was hosted by WGCI's own DJ Dimepiece along with the help of DJ 33 1/3 and DJ Moondawg! 

All Hail The Queen!!! Last night, R&B singer Mary J. Blige brought Chicago to it's knees with one of the most anticipated concerts of the summer. It was her long awaited "Liberation Tour" and it was one unforgettable night! After her ground breaking performance, the singer made her way downtown for her official after party at Club Enclave and without a doubt, the place was jammed packed from wall to wall. Throughout the night, the Queen danced and partied all night long while DJ Sean Mac rocked the crowd with some of Mary's biggest hits. If you ask anyone what is the most anticipated album of the year is, I'm sure they will tell you it's  Cruel Summer ; however, people are beginning to wonder when its actually coming out. Last night, Pusha T may have put an end to all speculations. He confirmed the release of the CD, himself, while performing on stage at a local nightclub in Downtown Chicago. Last night turned out big for some of Chicago's sexiest ladies! They got their chance to show off everything from leggings, skirts, heels and more to catch the attention of one man's eyes - R&B singer Tank. It was his  Album Release Party and he had them all under his spell. The event took place at Chicago's Funky Buddha Lounge in the City's West Loop and it was hosted by WGCI's own Demi Lobo with the help of DJ 33 1/3 rocking the one's and two's.

When it comes to making a mark in the World of Hip Hop, nobody does it better than Chicago's own Twista. Not only is he working hard to continue his legacy, he's bringing out a new artist and his name is "Showtime." On last night, April 10th, we caught up with Twista and his new protege at his video release party for his new single. The event took place at Club Ultra Lounge on Chicago's North Side and it was hosted by another up and coming artist and her name is J-Lyn.

When you have the "Most Anticipated Party Of The Year" in your procession, it's no short cuts. You have to put in work! On last night, April 5th, WGCI did just that! They gave the City of Chicago a huge celebration! It was the Third Year Anniversary for Tony Sculfield and The Morning Riot and the party was "Off The Chain." The event took place at Club V Live on the City's North Side and the house was packed! It brought out everybody from superstar entertainers to some of your favorite athletes. It even had a few surprises in the building like Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose and Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo.

We all have heard of power couples like Beyonce and Jay-Z along with Will and Jada Smith, right? Now, from out of nowhere, it's another couple on the rise and they seem to be drawing attention. It's Dipset rapper Jim Jones and his lovely fiancee Chrissy from the hit reality show "Love & Hip Hop." This past weekend, the two stopped in Chicago to host two separate parties. The events took place in the City's South Suburb and they were jammed packed from wall to wall. During the event, we caught up with the couple at Club DeJa Vu. We asked them about their future plans and about the baby rumors surrounding the web; unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. It seemed that they were too busy interacting and taking pictures with all their loyal fans; however, they did reach out to us before leaving the club. When it comes to making an entrance in a room, nobody does it better than sexy Meagan Good. We caught up with the actress this past Friday, when she showed up in Chicago to co-host a party with R&B singer Verse Simmons. The event took place at Adrianna's and the place was packed. Throughout the night, Meagan captivated her fans with her sexy smile as she took pics with her loyal fans. She also got surprised by another superstar, who was big fan - Bushwick of the Geto Boys. Bushwick told us his reason for being in the city was that he was working with producer Soundmaster T and when he heard that Meagan was in town, he made it his business to come out and show some love. Last night, Superstar rapper Nelly stopped in Chicago to host an exclusive event sponsored by Remy Martin. The party took place in the City's West Loop and it was a night to go down in history. During the event, Nelly mentioned he would be working with Chicago's own Da Internz on a future project and to be on the look for some other great things as well. Love In The Windy City Last night, Chicago's single women and men came out to celebrate Valentine's Day with WGCI. The event took place at Vertigo Sky Lounge and it was hosted by Loni Swain and ATL's The Dream. Throughout the night, Swain greeted her loyal listeners with smiles and hugs while DJ 33 1/3 rocked the crowd on the dance floor. She also got her guests to participate in fun games while her co-host The Dream played along and took pictures with fans before leaving the building. Pics after the jump.
