Since the passing of Kobe Bryant hit the News, it's been a hard pill to swallow for NBA fans across the world. The NBA legend was pronounced dead, this past Sunday, when his helicopter crashed in Calabasas, CA killing him, his daughter Gianna, and 7 other passengers who were found on board. On today, Nike and the NBA released a statement and shared how they will honor the NBA legend. "The 2020 NBA All-Star uniforms will pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and their seven friends and teammates who tragically passed away in last Sunday's helicopter accident. The 2020 NBA All-Star Game will feature Team LeBron (James) wearing the No. 2 and Team Giannis (Antetokounmpo) wearing the No. 24 - Gianna and Kobe's basketball jersey numbers, respectively." The statement also adds, "both teams will wear jersey patches displaying nine stars, representing those who lost their lives in the crash, including John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli

This past weekend, NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi were among 9 passengers killed in a helicopter crash in California. News broke yesterday, Sunday, and it left fans totally devastated.  Today, we stopped by the United Center in Chicago to pay our respects and fans from everywhere stopped to do the same. During our visit, we ran into Chicago native, the Young CEO of Vulture, and he spoke on the future Hall of Famer passing and the impact he had on the world. Take a look below.

NBA All-star Weekend is right around the corner and WGCI is ready to put on for the city. On, Feb. 15th, the Chicago hip hop station will host the 2nd part of their annual Big Jam concert series for a special night with the "Ballers & Rappers Edition." The show will star DaBaby & Lil Baby and the show is scheduled to take place at Credit Union 1 Arena, in Chicago's West Loop area (off I-290).  The show is presented by MARTELL along with special performances from Andre Drummond, Daniel "Booby" Gibson, and Iman Shumpert. Over the last year, 17-year-old AJ Partee and his brand VULTURE CLOTHING have been the most talked about thing in the streets with social media and now, the Chicago native plans to put on for his city during All-star Weekend.
