Def Squad Turn Up Chicago With Hip Hop Legends At Shrine
Last night (November 16), was big for Chicago's hip hop community! On one side of town, you had movers and shakers attending a huge event called "Big Jam" starring Rick Ross, but on the other side of town, you had party goers attending another event filled with real hip hop legends. You know them as "Def Squad" and they had the Shrine turned up!
From start to finish, at Shrine, the show was packed with full of surprises! You had legendary rappers like Jaz-O (best known for being the mentor of Jay-Z) in the house! You even had an unexpected appearances from Bushwick Bill of the Geto Boys and Nu sense of Psychodrama; however, none of that seemed to matter, once legendary hip hop group Def Squad hit the stage.
Kicking off the show, Chicago native Twon Gabs got his hometown hyped up before introducing the "Green Bandit" Erick Sermon to a sold out crowd. Later, Sermon would take over the show rocking the spot with some of his biggest hip hop classics including "You Gots To Chill" from his EPMD catalog. Next up, the crowd would go nuts for legendary rapper Keith Murray followed by a monster performance from Redman, who kept the place filled with excitement and fun.
Also, in attendance were other special guests like Chicago icon George Daniels, Former NFL Player Donovan McNabb, Mike Saunders, and Power 92 radio personality Teefa.
