[Video] John Monopoly Brings "Go ILL Music Showcase" To His Hometown Chicago
This past weekend (5/30), John Monopoly presented The Go ILL A&R Major Label Showcase in his hometown, Chicago. The event took place in the City's West Loop at Red Kiva and it was put on to highlight new aspiring talent and it featured Executives from major labels along with A&R's as well.
During the event, we caught up the music veteran for an exclusive interview and he explained to us what he looks for when he's managing and marketing artists.
"It's not really like a just one thing. Its just like a it, a it thing you know what I mean. You gotta have, you know - swag. You gotta have the lyrical process, you gotta have the right attitude, the look, you know. Its a whole combination of things."
Monopoly also talk to us about possibly retiring from the music management and he briefly spoke on his upcoming event Monopoly Fest 2015, which is scheduled to take place in September.
