[Video] Spike Lee & Father Pfleger Leads Peace March In Chicago

In support of the kids getting out of school for summer, Father Pfleger and his co-sponsor Spike Lee kicked off a historic march for peace on the Southside of Chicago, last night. The event was put to-gether to bring awareness and to put an end to gun violence in the streets of Chicago and it was one of many that will take place every Friday night up until October, according to Father Michael Pfleger.

Joined by a large number of supporters, Father Pfleger and the "Do The Right Thing" film director kicked things off with a huge rally on the steps of the St. Sabina Church. The rally was consisted of inspirational speeches, singing and a poem by Harold Green. Afterwards, Pfleger and Lee led the crowd to 79th and Racine to begin the march, which turned out to be full of love, peace, and fun.

Meanwhile, Spike Lee is currently working in production with his Chicago-based film Chiraq and its scheduled to hit theaters later next year. Until then, check out pics and video from the march, below.
