Chicago Bulls & Zenni Optical Launch "Framing The Future" Initiative For Kids
Just in time for the holidays, the Chicago Bulls and their official sponsor Zenni Optical partners with the Chicago Park District for a new initiative called Framing The Future, which is a new program put together to provide affordable eye wear and eye protection for Chicago kids in the community.
On yesterday, the Bulls and Zenni kicked off the new initiative with a special pep rally. It was held on Chicago's Near West Side, at Fosco Park, and it was packed with hundreds of kids in attendance.
During the event, kids got the opportunity to participate in a lot of cool games, along with receiving a ton of surprises. They even got to witness a live read with Benny The Bull and his new children's book, in addition to hanging out with Shaquille Harrison and Wendell Carter of the Chicago Bulls.
The event turned out to be a great success last night and parents seemed to be very happy to see The Bulls and Zenni giving back.
Afterwards, we caught up with Sean Pate of Zenni Optical and he talked with us about a number of things. He spoke on how the initiative got started and how long it's expected to last. He also shared some valuable information for parents and how they can get their child involved with the program.
Watch the full interview with Zenni below and don't forget to check out our cool pics from the event.
