Weeks after being released from the hospital for COVID-19, R&B singer Jeremih sits down for his first face-to-face interview. During his discussion, the Chicago artist talks with WGCI Morning Show host Kendra G about his near-death experience with COVID, explains why he still wears his bracelet from the hospital and says he's not sure if he wants to take the vaccine. The album is called Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps On Giving and it's scheduled to drop on Dec. 11th. According to Chance , the album will be available on all streaming platforms for the first time ever and it will contain fan's favorites from their previous Merry Christmas Lil Mama 1 & 2 mixtapes. The album will also include 2 new tracks and we hear they're called "The Return" and Who's To Say." This past weekend, Chance and Jeremih released their official video for "Are You Live," which was previously recorded back in 2017. It features rapper Valee and it's directed by Lyrical Lemonade. After facing a near-death with COVID, R&B singer Jeremih is out of the hospital. According to TMZ , the Chicago native has been released from Northwestern Hospital and he's back at home recovering. "First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for saving my life," said Jeremih.  The R&B singer also goes on to share, "I would also like to thank my family and friends for all their prayers and well wishes. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. A special thank to Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent, and Diddy for their love and support." Seem like Jeremih has a lot to be thankful for and we will continue to pray for him as he recovers.

Chance made the announcement last night during his appearance on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show and it's set to take place at several locations on Nov. 23 and 24 in Chicago.  "This year is our first ever Turkey Giveaway!" said Social Works. Just a week after the release of his new album Welcome To O-Block , King Von has passed away. The Chicago rapper, who real name is Dayvon Bennett, was among three people who were killed in a shooting involving police outside of Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, GA on Friday morning. According to reports , the incident started about 3:20 a.m. when gunfire exchanged between two groups of males who had been arguing outside of the club on 255 W. Trinity Avenue.  It's also reported two off-duty officers in uniform was working at the club, along with with an on-duty cop working nearby. It states the cops confronted the groups and fired shots as well.  Right now, it's unclear if King Von was killed by the officers gunfire or the initial confrontation that took place between the two male groups.  Always showing support and continuing to make a difference, actor/comedian Nick Cannon stopped in Chicago today to help with the Feed Your City Challenge. The event is an initiative, moving across the country, to help those in need and it took place on the City's South Side at the Pullman Center. The event kicked off around 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon and families showed up in the hundreds, as they drove in their cars for social guidelines, while being greeted by Cannon and receiving free groceries.  During the event, Nick Cannon also took pictures with fans and he was joined by other celebrities like G. Herbo, Queen Key, Tony Draper, Power 92, BendaWorld and others who volunteered.   The event turned out to be a big success and you can check out some of our pics and video below. Last night, the Chicago rapper took home four awards in the gospel category, which includes Top Gospel Artist and Gospel Song for "Follow God." Celebrities from all around and across the country have been helping out, amid the pandemic, with the Feed Your City Challenge initiative and now the tour is making it's way to Chicago. The event will be hosted by WGCI's Kyle Santillian and it will be an in-depth virtual panel discussion focusing on the power of therapy and mental wellness.  G. Even years after his retirement from the game of basketball, Michael Jordan's greatness continues to win. Last night, your airness and the Chicago Bulls pulled in an Emmy for their docuseries "The Last Dance," which is a 10-part documentary that centered around the team as they chase their sixth NBA Championship in the 90's. The documentary was presented by ESPN during the Spring, and it highlighted never-seen-before footage and interviews, which caused a lot of controversy between MJ and his former teammates and arch rivals. The Last Dance is also said-to-be one of the highest rated documentaries in sports history on ESPN.

Even after death, Juice WRLD music legacy continues to live on. Today, we get new music from the Chicago rapper called "Smile." It features Pop-recording artist The Weeknd and it's taken from Juice deluxe version of his posthumous LP Legends Never Die , which debuted #1 on Billboard 200 charts.

Justin Bieber seems to be everywhere these days. Last week, the Pop singer was spotted hanging out with Kanye West in the State of Wyoming and yesterday, he and his wife (Hailey) were seen having lunch with Chance The Rapper in Chicago. Right now, no one knows if they later hit up the studio but it would be nice to see a new collaboration from the two following up their 2017 hit I'm The One .

Could it be true? Is Kanye West gearing up to drop a new album? Today, the Yeezy rapper took to Twitter to announce detailed information about a new project but the tweet was eventually deleted. According to the message, the album is called DONDA and the release date is scheduled for July 24. In the tweet, Kanye shared information about the tracklist and it contains his latest new single "Wash Us In The Blood," which he dropped a few weeks ago featuring Travis Scott.  The tracklist also contains "New Body," a track Kanye recorded with Nicki Minaj for an album that was eventually scrapped called  Yandhi. If released, DONDA will be Kanye West's 10th studio album following his 2019 LP, Jesus Is King.

Summertime Chi is here and Soldier Field is set to kick things off serving as a drive-in movie theater. The first showing is scheduled to begin on Wednesday night and films are expecting to show up until Sunday night, on a big screen, in the south lot. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8:30 p.m. According to ABC7 , the movie selection will begin with a little nostalgia as "Groundhog Day" serves as the first film on Wednesday night.  The movie series will continue on Thursday night with "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" followed by "Fast & Furious" on Friday, "Grease" on Saturday and closing out the weekend with "Shrek" on Sunday.  "Each ticket includes a 90 minute music showcase by a locally featured Musician or DJ, followed by the movie screening on (3) jumbo screens for up to (6) people," according to the event's website. If the year wasn't already worst, Lollapalooza cancels their annual music festival due to COVID-19. The summer event, which takes place in Chicago's Grant Park, broke the news today on their site. "We wish we could bring Lollapalooza to Grant Park again this year, but we understand why things can't move forward as planned," Lolla said on their site. "The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and community is always our highest priority." In spite of this year's cancellation, Lolla have assured fans and concert-goers they will be working hard to return in 2021. In the meantime, Lollapalooza plans to give fans a virtual livestream experience, which is set to take place later this summer. The lineup for this event will be announced next month, according to the festival site.

Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd have all recently lost their lives due to senseless deaths; but people like Kanye West are letting the families know they are not alone. According to TMZ , the Jesus Is King rapper has donated $2 million to help with their legal team and other causes. It's also reported, Kanye set up a 529 college saving fund to fully cover tuition for Floyd's 6-year-old daughter Gianna, in addition to reaching back to his hometown Chicago to help several black-owned businesses effected by recent riots. Meanwhile, all 4 officers involved in the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota have now been charged with 2nd degree murder.
