Thirty years ago today, at the age of 24, the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson released the best-selling album of all time - Thriller .  This album set the bar and influenced many Pop artist today with hits like "Billie Jean," "Beat It," "PYT," and more. According to Billboard's Steve Greenberg , the album broke down racial barriers and changed the way America viewed music.

A few weeks ago, R&B singer  Pierre  hit the scene making major noise, when he debut his latest video "You Got That (Boom Boom Sticky)" on World Star Hip Hop . Now, we hear the Chicago native is back in the studio, again! This time its for the remix! According to our source, Pierre is in the studio working with two Chicago legends and icons (Rapper Shawnna and Legendary producer Soundmaster T ).

Straight from the Chi! Its the homie Lil Durk with another one! He calls this joint "OTF." Its a raw track that gets deep in the mind of the rapper, as he expresses the struggles with everyday situations. Lookout Chicago! Diesel Beats Presents  DJ Que Eleven  new EP  Alien and its scheduled to drop   12/12/12!  According to our source , the EP is a cross between urban hip hop and dub step music and it features some of Chicago's hottest artist like Pavy, President Tel, Tony Cartel, Remy, Sycosis, Blaine Belladonna and more.  

When you think of people being honored in the music industry, most of the time we hear about people like singers, song writers, and producers, but not too much about the deejays (the ones who break the music). On last week (November 19), the Global Spin Awards paid respect to the deejays for their hard work and contribution and one of the winners just happened to be a Chicago favorite. His name is DJ Sean Mac and he's been named GSA's "2012 Midwest Club DJ of the Year."

Over the last year, in the City of Chicago, we all have witness and heard of terrible things going on in the urban community, but on today (November 20), I can finally say, "I'm happy to share some good news." Today, Rapper YP & BJ The Chicago Kid took it upon themselves to give back to the people of the community on the City's South Side. They showed their appreciation for the hood by giving out turkeys for Thanksgiving! 

If you stay in the Chicagoland area, you may have seen several people wearing all black clothing with the word Casket printed on it. Some of you may have seen pics of it on social media or by looking at trendsetters on the nightlife scene. My question is, "what is it?" According to our source , its a new fashion brand and it plans to drop its official launch come 2013, but on Black Friday (November 23), it plans to drop new line of crew neck sweaters. Last night (November 16), was big for Chicago's hip hop community! On one side of town, you had movers and shakers attending a huge event called "Big Jam" starring Rick Ross, but on the other side of town, you had party goers attending another event filled with real hip hop legends. You know them as "Def Squad" and they had the Shrine turned up! 

On yesterday (November 15), Rapper Stalley , of Maybach Music Group, stopped in Chi City to promote his new clothing line "Blue Collar Gang." The event took place on the City's North Side and it was hosted by "PHILASIWANNABE" Dave Jeff.
