The Cast of "Snowfall" Arrives In Chicago for Season 3 Red Carper Premiere

Man, it's about to be a cold summer! Snowfall is back! 
In Season 3, the show take place in 1984. Crack cocaine is spreading like wildfire through the streets of South Central Los Angeles, while Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) and his people seek more power. 
Last night, cast members and writers stopped in Chicago to promote the new season. The red carpet premiere took place in the City's South Loop and it was filled with fans, media, and special guests.
During the event, those in attendance witnessed the first episode of Season 3 and got the opportunity to stick around for a special Q&A hosted by Kendra G. from iHeart's 107.5 WGCI Morning Show. 
Kendra spoke with the cast about a number of things, including what can we expect from the new season. She also touched on the passing of Director John Singleton and asked questions about his impact on the show.
Afterwards, fans got the opportunity to win prizes, take pictures and interact with the cast before leaving.

Happy Birthday Calvin Releases "Kari's Song (Long Way Home)" from the Netflix Movie #BEATS

While fans wait for Happy Birthday Calvin new EP, the Chicago rapper delivers new music to hold you over. The track is called "Kari's Song (Long Way Home) and it's taken off Netflix new film BEATS
Right now, the single is currently #29 Worldwide and #48 in the United States on the Shazam charts.

The Lyrical Lemonade "Summer Smash" Set To Hit Douglas Park In Chicago

Summer 2019 is officially here and your favorite music festivals are ready to hit the City of Chicago.

Come this weekend (June 29-30), The Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash will head to Douglas Park, on the City's West Side, and this 2-Day event includes some of the biggest names in Hip Hop.

On Saturday's lineup, you have names like Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty, City Girls, Megan Thee Stallion and more, followed by Sunday, with performances by Gucci Mane, Juice Wrld, DaBaby, and TYGA.

Flo Rida Stops In Chicago To Get A Taste of The Licking

Giving you a taste of soul food South Beach style, The Licking restaurant has officially hit Chicago. 
You may be familiar with the business through the likes of DJ Khaled & Eric E Class Prince and now they've teamed up with Lenny "Coffey" Weston to bring the Miami franchise to the Windy City.
On yesterday, Flo Rida pulled up in Chicago to support the restaurant and to give it his approval.
During his visit, the platinum rapper and his entourage sampled just about everything on the menu, from seafood dinners to grilled entrees, and gave it 2 thumbs up before leaving the building.  
The Licking is having it's official opening today for the public and it's located on Chicago's West Side at 5045 W. Madison. Go try the Chicken & Red Velvet Waffles and tell em DerrickNtheCity sent you. 

DJ Pharris Debut Single "Boss" feat Young Dolph & G. Herbo

In support of his new label TCMG and his partnership with E-One Music, Chicago legend DJ Pharris releases his long-awaited debut single for the streets called "Boss." It's produced by Grammy Award winning producer Mano and it feature appearances from Young Dolph and Chicago's G. Herbo. Calboy Perform for Students In Chicago

Fresh off the heels of his debut album release, Chicago rapper Calboy stopped by Curie High School yesterday, on Chicago's South Side, to perform for the Adidas Sound Labs event. The showcase was created to inspire the next generation of creators and the place was packed with screaming students.
