Kanye West Buys His Chicago Childhood House

Fresh off the heals of Forbes announcing him a billionaire, Kanye West buys his childhood house in Chicago for $225,000. According to WGN , it's no word on what he plans to do with the place but it does indicate he's taken out Permits to renovate the property and he faces up to $60,000 in repairs.  Watch the video below for the full story...

While staying safe in the house during quarantine season, D Rose recently sat down in a candid interview conducted by his kids mother Alaina. During their conversation, the NBA star talks about his childhood in Chicago and speaks on the Bulls new documentary called The Last Dance . He also speaks highly of Michael Jordan and shares an inspiring story of visiting his house, when he was just a sophomore in high school. Chicago Cancels Major Summer Events Due To COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some of Chicago's biggest events and concerts have been canceled for Summer 2020 . The news broke earlier this morning, when The Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events announced the cancellation for a number of events. According to reports , the City has canceled Memorial Day Parade along with Gospel, Blues, and House Music Fest for May and June. Right now, it's no word if other major events will be canceled; however, Governor JB Pritzker has suggested last month that all large gatherings be shut down across Illinois throughout the summer. "I think everybody needs to think seriously about canceling any large summer events," Pritzker said during a press conference.  He also added "I just don't, from my perspective today, I do not see how we are going to have large gatherings of people again until we have a vaccine, which is months and months away... Twista Teams Up With State Rep for "Mask Up And Live" Campaign To Fight COVID-19

Giving back to his hometown Chicago, rap legend Twista teams up with State Rep La Shawn Ford for the  Mask Up And Live  campaign. The new initiative kicked off today at Creative Salon on the West Side and it was created to help the community wear their masks to stop the spread of COVID-19. "I wanted to be apart of it because I know that when people see celebrities like me wearing a mask, they know that it's serious" Twista told the News via Facetime.  State Rep La Shawn Ford also added, "We intend to get masks out to those that don't have access to them in the black communities. We are coming together to do the right thing and save lives." Spotted somewhere on his ranch in Cody, Wyoming, Kanye West lands on the new cover of GQ. In the latest May 2020 issue, the hip hop genius speaks on a variety of topics including new music, his relationship with God, struggles with alcohol, in addition to speaking on the passing of Kobe Bryant.  "The way that Kobe would say that we all have to come together and win this championship is the way I look at life now. To an infinite, other level," said West. He adds, "He was the basketball version of me, and I was the rap version of him, and that's facts!" WGCI's Kyle Santillian Joins His Family for "Corona Virus: Wanna Go Outside (Parody)"

While everyone is trying to avoid The Rona during Quarantine Season, WGCI's Morning Show host Kyle Santillian decides to join his family for a little fun with a new home video. The parody is called "Corona Virus: Wanna Go Outside" and it shows the family hanging out in the basement, while they began to spit bars over a hip hop beat and express what they missed the most being locked inside... "When you're stuck in the house with nothing to do... why not be creative and make a song about it," said Santillian.
