Kanye West Covers GAP Store In Chicago With A Message To Celebrate New Partnership

In support of his new 10-year deal with GAP, Kanye West celebrates the partnership with a message for people to see. The words and his collaborative logo can be viewed on THE GAP's flagship store in Downtown Chicago and it simply express thanks to God and the company for the new opportunity. "Hi Chicago it's Ye. This is the GAP store I used to shop at when I would drive my Nissan from the Southside," stated by Kanye. He also goes on to say, "I thank God and I am so humbled at the opportunity to serve, I put my heart into the color palette and every detail." Meanwhile, Kanye's new roll-out with GAP is expected to drop sometime soon and it consist of the Jesus Is King rapper to design a line of clothing for men, women, and kids. Check out message below.

Lollapalooza Cancels Annual Music Festival In Chicago Due To COVID-19

If the year wasn't already worst, Lollapalooza cancels their annual music festival due to COVID-19. The summer event, which takes place in Chicago's Grant Park, broke the news today on their site. "We wish we could bring Lollapalooza to Grant Park again this year, but we understand why things can't move forward as planned," Lolla said on their site. "The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and community is always our highest priority." In spite of this year's cancellation, Lolla have assured fans and concert-goers they will be working hard to return in 2021. In the meantime, Lollapalooza plans to give fans a virtual livestream experience, which is set to take place later this summer. The lineup for this event will be announced next month, according to the festival site.

Kanye West Donates $2 Million & Set Up College Fund For George Floyd's Daughter

Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd have all recently lost their lives due to senseless deaths; but people like Kanye West are letting the families know they are not alone. According to TMZ , the Jesus Is King rapper has donated $2 million to help with their legal team and other causes. It's also reported, Kanye set up a 529 college saving fund to fully cover tuition for Floyd's 6-year-old daughter Gianna, in addition to reaching back to his hometown Chicago to help several black-owned businesses effected by recent riots. Meanwhile, all 4 officers involved in the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota have now been charged with 2nd degree murder.
