Lollapalooza Cancels Annual Music Festival In Chicago Due To COVID-19

If the year wasn't already worst, Lollapalooza cancels their annual music festival due to COVID-19. The summer event, which takes place in Chicago's Grant Park, broke the news today on their site.

"We wish we could bring Lollapalooza to Grant Park again this year, but we understand why things can't move forward as planned," Lolla said on their site. "The health and safety of our fans, artists, partners, staff and community is always our highest priority."

In spite of this year's cancellation, Lolla have assured fans and concert-goers they will be working hard to return in 2021.

In the meantime, Lollapalooza plans to give fans a virtual livestream experience, which is set to take place later this summer. The lineup for this event will be announced next month, according to the festival site.
