Ending the year with a bang, Chicago's #1 Hip Hop/R&B radio station WGCI showcased their annual BIG JAM concert series, last night, in front of a sold-out crowd at the United Center. Even though he's no longer here in the physical, the legacy and life of DJ Timbuck 2 continue to live on. Last night, people from all over came out to celebrate the memory of the late deejay with a tribute event at The Metro on Chicago's Northside. The celebration showcased some of the hottest deejays in the game and it was presented by the Timothy Francis Jones Foundation, which was founded at the request of Timothy Jones (DJ Timbuck 2) who succumbed to renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) in 2015.
The sold-out event was also filled with a lot of surprises and one of them just happened to be EPMD, who took the stage by storm performing some of their crowd favorite classics like "It's My Thing" and "You Got's To Chill." During their short set, Erick and Parrish also paid their respects and showed love to other fallen artists and entertainers in the industry. Check out the video after the jump.

Since his released from being hospitalized, Kanye West has been very low-key but today, he's been spotted marching into Trump Towers to meet with President-elect Donald Trump. According to TMZ, the Yeezus rapper will have a 15 minute sit-down with Trump but its unclear what they will discuss.
According to E!, Donald Trump met with Kanye to discuss giving him an "entrepreneurial role of leadership." The source adds "Trump thinks he's a great role model when it comes to business."

After multiple incidents, Jeremih has been removed from PARTYNEXTDOOR Summer's Over Tour. According to Pitchfork, a representative from Live Nation confirmed with them on Sunday (Dec. 4) that Jeremih will no longer be on the remaining of the tour. Full refunds will be issued for fans that wanted to see the Chicago singer, which will forfeit entry to the show. Find the full statement below.
“Live Nation’s top priority is helping artists and performers create great shows for their fans. With this in mind, we’ve decided it’s best for the Summer’s Over Tour to continue without Jeremih, effective immediately. After multiple incidents we are left with no other choice. We do not support these actions or take these actions lightly. Ticketholders may request a full refund at point of purchase, which will forfeit access to the entire show. No partial refunds will be issued.”
In recent weeks, Jeremih was spotted storming off the stage in Chicago and recently called out the OVO singer, during their stop in Dallas, TX. for apparently trying to stop and sabotage his show.

A lot of celebrities have passed away in 2016 and now, this year has taken one of Chicago's own. According to Fakeshore Drive, Chicago singer Johnny P has passed away after being in a coma.
Johnny P is best known for his unforgettable vocals on Do or Die's 1996 classic single "Po Pimp" and his vocals were also featured on Scarface's "Smile" and countless others.

Hours after Kanye West canceled the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour due to exhaustion, It's reported the Yeezy rapper was taken to UCLA Medical Center on Monday for psychiatric evaluation.
According to law enforcement sources ... cops responded to a call for a welfare check on Kanye around 1:20 PM PT. He was at his trainer, Harley Pasternak's home at the time and was "acting erratically."
We're told police called L.A. Fire, and by the time paramedics arrived Kanye was calmer ... but still resistant to going to the hospital. We're told everyone -- his management and law enforcement -- convinced him it was best he go. Law enforcement sources tell us Kanye was handcuffed to a gurney during transport to the hospital ... as standard protocol.Man, we pray everything is okay with Kanye and hope he gets the help he needs to live a healthy life.

It's been a long weekend for rapper Kanye West. Not only is he breaking news for his infamous rants, it's reported he's cancelling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour as well. This news come shortly after the Yeezus rapper ended his show abruptly on Saturday night in Sacramento and later canceling his show Sunday night at the L.A. Forum. According to sources, Kanye is pulling the plug on the tour for the rest of the year and its all because he's exhausted from working around the clock.
As of now, refunds will be given to ticketholders and Kanye is set to reschedule shows later in 2017.

It's a sad day for Chicago and the radio industry, the "King of the Dusties" Herb Kent has passed away. According to reports, the radio legend died on Saturday evening at the age of 88.
Herb Kent passed away on Saturday evening. No words can express our great sense of loss. Herb was an iconic talent, who for nearly 70 years entertained millions of listeners in Chicagoland and around the world. His passion for radio and work ethic was second-to-none as Herb worked to the very end, by hosting what unexpectedly was his final V103 broadcast on Saturday morning.
Herb leaves a legacy of thousands of entertainers he helped boost, community causes he impacted, and as a former instructor at Chicago State University, sharing his encyclopedic knowledge with hundreds of students.
We are so thankful for the privilege of working alongside such an historic figure as Herb Kent for the past 27 years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Herb's family, friends, and loved ones.
