Kanye West Announces New Release Date for "Jesus Is King" Album

Is Kanye West ready to drop Jesus Is King? According to his Twitter account, the highly anticipated LP is set to drop on Oct. 25th, which is the same day as his IMAX film release titled the same name. The project was originally set for September 29th but it never seen the light of day; I guess we will have to wait and see on Friday. Juice WRLD Collaborates With McDonald's And Brings "Beat Of My City" Tour To Chicago

As promised, Juice Wrld brings free concert series Beat Of My City tour to his hometown, Chicago. The event took place on Oct. 17th and it was hosted by radio personality Tone Kapone and DJ Oreo. 
This initiative was in partnership with McDonald's and it was put together to bring artists back to their hometowns to perform for their fans and give back to the communities that shaped them.
During the event, fans walked in the facility, at Vertiport Chicago, feeling good and excited about the evening. They got the chance to take pictures next to cool props, play arcade games, and got free customized t-shirts, in addition to getting free cheeseburgers and fries, compliments of McDonald's.
Shortly after 9:00pm, Juice Wrld hit the stage with a high powered live band performance and he didn't disappoint his fans, as they chanted and sang every song, including his hit "Lucid Dreams."

Kanye West "Jesus Is King" Film Coming To An IMAX Near You

For the past month, Kanye West has been popping up everywhere promoting his upcoming LP Jesus Is King, as well as, holding exclusive one-off screenings of his new IMAX film titled the same name. Now, we hear he's expecting to release the film in the United States and fans will get a chance to see it in selected IMAX theaters, for a limited time, on October 25, according to an Imax announcement.
"IMAX® is releasing the all new Kanye West film, "JESUS IS KING," exclusively IMAX theatres. Filmed in the summer of 2019, "JESUS IS KING" brings Kanye West's famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, visionary artist James Turrell's never-before-seen installation in Arizona's Painted Desert."
IMAX also went on to say, "This one-of-a-kind experience features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album "JESUS IS KING."

Chance The Rapper Joins T.I. & Cardi B On Netflix Competition Series "Rhythm + Flow"

Chance The Rapper has been known for selling out concerts and winning awards at the Grammys and now, he's joining Cardi B and T.I. to look for the next big talent on Rhythm + Flow. It's a brand new hip hop competition on Netflix and it's changing the way for artists to break into the business.
In this 3-week series, undiscovered talent will get the opportunity to shoot their shot and they will be judged by Chance, T.I., and Cardi, along with other hip hop icons. Once they make it past auditions, they'll go on to compete in more challenges to see who got what it takes to make it in the rap game.

Kanye West Appears At Chance The Rapper's Concert And Host Listening Session In Chicago

Kanye West made his way home to Chicago, last night, for a couple of stops. First, he was spotted at the United Center for a surprise appearance at Chance The Rapper's sold out concert and second, he hosted his very own Jesus Is King Experience, at the Auditorium, to promote his unreleased album. 
During his first stop at the UC, the legendary rapper joined Chance onstage to perform "All We Got," which turned out to be a historic moment for hip hop, City of Chicago and all their supporting fans. 
Afterwards, Kanye arrived at the Auditorium, with his wife and kids, for his packed house event. He opened up the session with a short film and next, he played the crowd his entire unreleased album. 
The project contains a combination of hot new sounds and it also includes a standout track featuring guest appearances from the Clipse and Kenny G, which was well received by the fans reaction.

Chance The Rapper Shares Rescheduled Dates For "The Big Tour"

It was just weeks ago, Chance The Rapper shocked fans everywhere when he announced that he was postponing his tour to be with family. Now, we hear the tour is back on but this time with new dates.
Originally, the tour was set to kick off on September 14, 2019, but now, The Big Tour will begin in January 2020 and we hear Lil Yachty and Chance's brother Taylor Bennett will be coming on board.

Juice WRLD Partners With McDonald's To Do Free Upcoming Concert In Chicago

Have you had a break today? McDonald's is kicking off a new concert series to bring artists back to their hometown and give back to the community that raise them with a free show. The initiative is called Beat of My City and rapper Juice WRLD has been chosen to perform for his city, Chicago.
Juice WRLD broke the news with his followers on social media and here's what he had to say:
"Excited to be partnering with @mcdonalds to bring my people in chicago a free live performance. I will also be giving back to my favorite charity through McDonald's. Last but not the least there's going to be some @mcdonalds"
The free show is scheduled for October 17th but the location of the event has not been revealed, you would have to rsvp at to receive that information. Good Luck!

Come this year, La La will be joining the cast of Showtime's TV series The Chi playing a hot, savvy businesswoman named Dominique "Dom" Morris. La La took to social media earlier today and broke the news with her fans.

It's a new wave of artists coming up on the rise and the homie SmokeBaby just happens to be one of them. Today, the Chicago rapper releases his brand new video for "FNP (Feel No Pain)." It's taken from his upcoming EP called Smokeland and it's a dope animated visual created by Ashtyn Taylor of ATLfilms and it's written and produced by DeAndre Brooks aka SmokeBaby. Chance The Rapper Has Postponed "The Big Day" Tour

Five days before he's set to go on tour, Chance The Rapper has postponed in order to spend time with family. The Chicago rapper broke the news today, as he took to social media to share with fans.
"I thought it over for the past week and I've decided to push back my tour. This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has also been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family work."
Chance also went on to apologize to his fans by saying, "I know how many people were counting on seeing me soon, but I hope you'll understand and forgive me in time. Tour kicks off Jan. 15th."
As of now, you can still get tickets or your refund at and a few of the show are still being rescheduled. Chance noted he's still doing the United Center in his hometown Chicago on 9/28.

Kanye West Brings Out Chicago for Sunday Service

Name someone other than Kanye West that can bring out the Chi for Sunday Service on a rainy day?
This morning, Ye stopped in his hometown for a free sold-out show. It was located at Huntington's Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island and it was filled with fans of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
Throughout the event, the gospel choir kept the crowd on their feet, in high spirit, before the Yeezus rapper made his entrance to perform his song, "Jesus Walk." Chicago's own Chance The Rapper was also in attendance and he added his contribution by performing his verse to Ye's "Ultralight Beam."
I'm telling you, Kanye West's Sunday Service was a great experience and I'm glad I got the chance and opportunity to enjoy it. 
UPDATE: After finishing his morning set at Northerly Island, Kanye West took his Sunday Service celebration to Fellowship Church for the afterparty. Watch videos below and share your comments.

Meek Mill Performs Free Pre-Game Show In Chicago For Jay Z New Initiative With NFL

Before the NFL's new season kicked off with the Bears and Packers tonight, Philly rapper Meek Mill performed a free concert in Chicago's Grant Park and it was packed with thousands in attendance. 
The Pre-game show is part of Jay Z's new partnership with the NFL called Inspire Change, which is an initiative for players and owners of the league to work together to create change in communities across America. 
Meek Mill is one of the first advocates of Inspire Change along with Meghan Trainor and Rapsody, who also happened to performed tonight at the event celebration in Chicago's Grant Park.

Meek Mill To Perform Free Concert In Chicago Before Bears-Packers Game

Part of Jay Z's new initiative with the NFL, Meek Mill is set to perform a free concert. The pre-game show will take place before the Bears-Packers game and it will be located in Chicago's Grant Park. 
According to our source, the Philly rapper is scheduled to hit the stage at 6:30 pm on September 5th and a portion of the performance will be aired on NBC and NFL Network. 
It's also reported the pre-game show will have performances from Meghan Trainer and Rapsody, who are the first Inspire Change advocates joining Meek Mill to kick off the 2019 NFL season.

WGCI's Leon Rogers To Host New Late-Night Show On Fox 32

After years of hard work in the business, comedian Leon Rogers is ready to take things to another level. According to sources, the Destined Legend is gearing up to host a late-night show on Fox 32.
Rogers took to social media yesterday to confirm the news with his followers. He mentioned the show is called Later with Leon and it's scheduled to kick off on September 9 at 10pm. He also added his co-host will be the super talented Tia Ewing, who happens to be a reporter for Fox 32 Chicago. 
"Trust me when I tell you this one IS FOR THE GO!"
In the meantime, you can catch Leon Rogers every weekday as a co-host on WGCI's Morning Show with Kyle and Kendra G. 

Master P Set To Bring "No Limit Reunion" Tour To Chicago

Selling over 100 millions records worldwide, Master P's No Limit label is successfully known as one of the biggest independent companies of all time and now he's back and ready to hit the road again.
Come this Fall, the Colonel is gathering his troops for a 20 Year Anniversary Tour and it's stopping in Chicago. The show is set for Saturday, November 30th and it's taking place at Credit Union 1 Arena.
No Limit artists will be performing all of their greatest hits and the show will feature Master P, Slikk The Shocker, Mia X, Fiend, Mr Serv On, Choppa Style, Lil Romeo, Young Bleed, and Weebie.

Chris Brown Coming To The United Center

They say he's the "Michael Jackson of our time" and now, R&B singer Chris Brown is ready to hit the road again. Come this Fall, the platinum recording artist is scheduled to perform live in Chicago with his Indigoat Tour. The show is schedule for September 26 and it's set to place at the United Center.
The show also feature Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, Joyner Lucas, and Yella Beezy; however, the artist line-up is subject to change without notice. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster so get yours today.

We all know Drake is known as one of the best ever in music and now, he's taking a shot at fashion. 
This past weekend, the Young Money rapper opened up a new OVO store in Downtown Chicago. 
Located on State and Walton, in the City's Gold Coast area, Drake's new store stands out from it's surroundings. His signature logo (the owl) is highlighted in gold and the building is painted in black. 
Inside, you will find the freshest t-shirts, hoodies, crew necks, snapbacks, and other exclusive pieces from the collection. The store gives you a taste of hip hop with high-end fashion and it's definitely spacious with dope vibes.
Right now, it's no word if Drake will ever make any special appearances at the store, but I'm sure he's bound to stop by some day.

Bud Billiken Parade Celebrates 90 Years In Chicago

Celebrating 90 years of excellence, Bud Billiken Parade delivered it's annual event today in Chicago. The festivities took place on the City's Southside and it was filled with fun for the community.  
During the event, actor/comedian Lil Rel Howery served as this year's Grand Marshal and he was followed by a host of others, including Mayor Lori Lightfoot and R&B singer BJ The Chicago Kid. 
The parade also showcased some young talented bands and drill teams, in addition to having a lot of magnificent floats, that happened to have some of your favorite celebrities standing on deck.
You had the opportunity to eat some amazing food, listen to music, and so much more. I'm telling you, the 90th Bud Billiken Parade was lit and it was a sight to see for the thousands of people who attended.

Chance The Rapper Creates "The Big Store" Pop-Up Experience For Fans

In support of his new album The Big Day, we stopped by Chance The Rapper's Pop-Up store this past weekend, located on 10th & Michigan in Downtown Chicago, and it was powered by Swarovski.
Inside the store, we got the opportunity to learn a lot about the rapper, while being taking on a guided tour. We saw special memorabilia from his childhood and garments from his wedding, in addition to messing around in the studio with the drum machines and taking dope pictures with all of the props.
We also got the chance to see items from the Coloring Book world tour and we got to see all of his Grammy Awards, which he won back in 2017.
Before leaving out the building, we stopped by the merchandise room to purchase some of Chance's cool stuff. We grabbed his new album The Big Day and some exclusive t-shirts with customization.

Rick Ross Performs In Chicago for Complexcon 2019

Filled with art, music, fashion, and culture, Complexcon made it's way to Chicago this past weekend. The 2 day event was held at the McCormick Place and it was packed with thousands in attendance. 
Throughout the event, fans got the opportunity to check out new cutting edge brands, while browsing and shopping for gear. They also got the chance to see live performances from some of their favorite artists and one of them just happened to be Rick Ross, who brought down the house with a dope show.
Ross took the stage for Day 2, on Sunday, and he definitely brought the heat. The Miami rapper hit the crowd with bangers, in addition to giving them a glimpse of whats to come with Port of Miami 2.

Last night, the Chicago rapper sat down with Jimmy Fallon on the "Tonight Show" and shared some details about his project. He mentioned the release date is 7/26 and the album is titled The Big Day.
Chance also revealed the artwork for the new album cover, which you can see in the interview below.
