WGCI Teams With Glass Slipper Project To Help Girls For Prom

We all know, when it's time for prom, all young ladies want to feel fabulous and look their best; but unfortunately, for most parents pockets, those dreams aren't always cheap. That's why The Glass Slipper Project teamed up with Chicago's own WGCI to make those dreams come true.

For those who may not know, The Glass Slipper Project is a non-profit organization who provides free prom dresses and accessories for high school girls in Chicago and the surrounding area. They've been doing this since they were founded in 1999 and they continued that great tradition this past weekend.

The event took place at McCorkle Fine Arts School on Chicago's South Side and it was hosted by WGCI's own Connie Williams.

Throughout the event, high schools girls, from all over the city, came out by the numbers as they awaited this great opportunity in the McCorkle's School Gym. Once their number was called, the young ladies, along with their parents and guardians, were escorted to browse the dresses of their choice. They even got the opportunity to get free make-up, shoes, and jewelry as well.

Also, during the time of their wait, WGCI played their part by entertaining the invited guests. They got them to dance, participate in games, and they even had them to take part in a sing off competition to win prizes.

  1. Fairy princess dream girls
wake up "drunk" in love --
    what of the dreamerz
    what worth the dreams?

    Phantasy escapism,
but can't escape the social prison.
    These chains ain't bling
    they're shackles, not rings.
