Nike Celebrates Sport Icons With New Pop-Up Diner "Chicago Style"

Nike continues to push the culture forward. Last year, they transformed an old church in Chicago into a facility for kids and this year, they turn Lulu's Hot Dogs into a "Chicago-Style" Pop-Up Diner. 

Located at 1000 S. Leavitt, this hot spot pays homage to Chicago sport icons and celebrates young leaders that are making a difference across the city with the motto "Sport Changes Everything." 

On yesterday, we stopped by the "Chicago-Style" diner, on the Near West Side, and we were very impressed at what we saw. 

During our visit, we checked out some awesome sports memorabilia, while eating some really great food. We also talked with some of Chicago's next generation of leaders, who made an appearance.

McKinley Nelson: Founder of Project Swish Chicago which used basketball to keep kids off the streets.

Ixhelt Gonzalez: Youngest member of the U.S. Women's wheelchair basketball team and 2020 Olympic hopeful.

Monyett Crump: Founder of Reveal Dance Chicago who is working to empower students through dance.

Afterwards, we hit up Nike's colorful and unique basketball court for some pick-up games, which is located alongside the back of the Pop-Up diner and it has huge space to hang out with the family.

Nike will be opening the "Chicago-Style" Pop-Up to the public starting Oct. 26th til Nov. 4th so take the whole family, today. Until then, check out some of our cool pictures from the restaurant below.
